About Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. It is home to the largest terrestrial mammal migration in the world, which helps secure it as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa.

The Serengeti hosts the largest lion population in Africa and is one of the best places on the continent to observe prides in their natural environment. Cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and over 500 bird species also call this vast wilderness home.

Whether you're watching a river crossing during the Great Migration, witnessing a predator-prey interaction on the endless plains, or enjoying a hot air balloon safari at dawn, the Serengeti delivers unforgettable safari experiences.
