About Zanzibar Island

Zanzibar, also known as the Spice Island, is a semi-autonomous archipelago off the coast of Tanzania in the Indian Ocean. The main island, Unguja, is famous for its pristine white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and rich cultural heritage that blends African, Arab, Indian, and European influences.

Stone Town, the heart of Zanzibar, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with narrow winding streets, ornate wooden doors, and historic buildings that tell stories of sultans, slaves, and spice traders. The town's architecture reflects centuries of cross-cultural influences.

Beyond the beaches and history, Zanzibar offers world-class diving and snorkeling, spice plantation tours, sunset dhow cruises, and encounters with rare red colobus monkeys in Jozani Forest. The island is the perfect extension to a Tanzania safari, offering relaxation and adventure in equal measure.
